Confidence & Mindset

``Practical support for the thoughts and feelings that so often accompany performance.

Confidence isn't something you're either born with or without.  Like any other part of performance, it can grow with understanding, experience and practice.

Every performer has moments of doubt.

Nerves, comparison, setbacks and self-criticism are all common experiences, whether you're stepping onto a stage for the first time or have been performing for years.

The aim isn't to eliminate those feelings completely.

It's to understand them, respond to them and stop them from taking over the performance.

Building confidence

Managing nerves

Learn through setbacks

Developing confidence through preparation, experience and learning to trust yourself.

Understanding why nerves happen, how they affect us and practical ways to work with them rather than against them.

Auditions, feedback, disappointment and rejection are all part of being a performer. Learning how to respond to them is just as important as learning how to perform.

Onwards. Forwards. Together.
